Stopped in Hawthorne, about 20 miles into the trip, for a snack. Things are going well, so far. On schedule for my ETA.

In Palatka, getting lunch. Had a stiff wind in my teeth for the last twenty miles, so I'm about an half hour behind schedule. Should be a tailwind the rest of the way, so I should make up some of that time.

Be careful out there. The road is more dangerous than the woods. We'll see you later tonight. We're going to hike in from Juniper Springs.

The wind has been a big help, and I'm back on track for my ETA. Looks like I should be in Pat's Island around 4:30: I'm in salt springs getting water and food.

We just got to Juniper Springs. We're dropping off the car and going to hit the trail. I doubt we will make it before dark but that's the fun of this hang.

Thanks to all for your kind thoughts. Financial Planner was off on Monday and then forgot to put in request to withdraw funds, so still no new car. I had sold jewelry (including my mother's solitaire) to come up with a $4K deposit so that is holding the vehicle. Now I need to plan for the unofficial hang in Oct.

Sorry I missed this hang everyone. I was looking forward to it but a couple things came up late Friday afternoon. I'll definitely be at the next hang. Hope everyone has a blast. I was going to text you FLRider but figured I would just post it here.
