Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're not making quilts anymore.
Seems like this vendor is too busy with other things to take his quilt business seriously. I got my UQ several weeks late. Great product, terrible customer service.
I think the young lady moved on to college and found it took up her time. It's hard to complain about that. Given that Mac Cat was most successful while he was in college and fell apart when he hit the business world it was not irrational for her to try it but admirable that she shut it down and cleared her orders once she found out she had time problems. That is the nature of cottage business's.

The Girl you speak of is Leigh. Her business was Hammockquilts.com yes she is no longer in business. She had a great little business and had excellent customer service. Leigh did close her doors to focus on school. TE-WA Underquilts is a completely different person. I know years ago his stuff was the bomb but you don't hear much about him anymore I had to look him up to see if he was still in business, Honestly I thought he got outa the business a year or two ago.

I hope you get your quilt in a timely manner. He makes a good product. If his website is up and still taking orders, I think you might be safe. I wouldn't let too much time go by. I would e mail him for confirmation of order and its expected arrival to you. That way you will know fer sure!
I have one of his top quilts that is not made anymore. Saw one posted up for sale on here and jumped on it.
I have had several emails from him promising but nothing has materialized. I'm hanging in for it based on comments on quality.
I don't have anything against him.To his credit he did make it and it is a great product. No evidence of a rush job to get an impatient customer off his back. I respect that. I just would hesitate recommending TeWa to anyone without being honest. I hope you get your quilt soon chuckL
I just looked at his website (great web design, and prices seem to be pretty good) Looks to me he is still in business. (maybe your quilt is delayed due to production problems--supplier problems, family stuff etc? ) Hope this works out for you! Looks like a great design! How long ago did you order your UQ? Depending on the situation, its not uncommon for cottage vendors to take a month or more to fill an order. (probably should put that on your website, so people dont get unrealistic expectations for delivery times)
