Interesting that it is coming from thermarest instead of msr.
I'd figure a thermarest hammock would at least have some kind of insulation option.
I suspect they are easing into the market... but a hammock specific pad would be a nice (and probably popular) addition to their product line. The most interesting thing coming of their new hammocks, as Derek points out, is the size of the fabric they are using. At 80" wide, there is no need for seams running the length of the hammock. Plus, the polyester fabric they are using looks comfy!
