Sleeping with a TQ, to me, is kinda like regulating your temperature when hiking. On cold days, I usually self-regulate temps by removing gloves, hat, or even a jacket/shell, to keep from sweating.

Same thing with a TQ - sometimes I just stick a leg out and it drops my core temp. If I'm still hot, I'll stick one or both arms out of the quilt. If I get really hot, I'll kick the whole darn quilt off.

I'll never forget my youngest son's first hammock trip - it was a low of 22 degrees, and he had a 0* synthetic sleeping bag. I wanted his first hammock experience to be great, so I checked on him often during the night. At first he had the sleeping bag fully zipped up, then a couple hours later he had only his legs in it. By five in the morning, he had kicked the sleeping bag totally off him and was sleeping in just shorts and a short-sleeve shirt, and he was SWEATING.

That's when I knew that folks are entirely different when it comes to whether they sleep hot or cold. I consider myself to be a hot sleeper, but my son makes me look like a cold sleeper!

I'm good in a 0º Burrow up to 55-60 with just a single layer of fleece on top.
To me, the TQ is what traps the heat.

I found my zero usable in the mid-50s. I think a 20 wouldn't be that much better. My zero is wide, and I found I had a lot of extra material around which made it a little harder to vent.

Just ordered the Burrow 20 myself, first top quilt. I have snugpack jungle bag I can open into blanket for really hot trips.
