Lots of info and user feedback in their forum too.

The Brothers Hill have all sorts of well made gear. I'm a fan.

If I seriously worried about things like that my wife would send me to a shrink for some strong medication. LOL Then I would need more medication for dry mouth and the shakes. LOL
The Underwoobie is more of an attempt to add the functionality of an underquilt to the myriad uses of a standard woobie. The materials are nearly identical to those used by Kifaru. Of the three, the Hill People serape has the most functionality as an outer garment, and its about on par with the others as a blanket or sleeping bag. And, IMHO, in addition to the functionality as an underquilt, the Underwoobie also has more functionality as an emergency shelter. Its more "back country" gear than most hammock related items are and as such may be the only hammock specific piece of "back country" gear out there.

So I bought a woobie off Ebay and got the message today that it has been shipped. I was going around to everyone at work today and telling them "Man, I cant wait to get my WOOBIE!".
There were a few Ex military guys who knew what I was talking about, but mostly I just got funny looks....haha.
One lady asked me if I got a cat....weird.

Hahaha imagine her face when you tell the woman that you stuffed that woobie in the bottom of your pack for a few hours, then slept on top of it all night for warmth! 😁

You may be getting a nasty email from a PETA rep!

I usually pack one as they do make a great summer TQ although they are a bit short for me ( I use military issue ). When its cold I can not sleep with a watch cap or balaclava on ( they end up coming off or get twisted ) so I loosely wrap the poncho liner over my head leaving just enough of an opening to breath thru.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I'm very late to this party, and as a new member, I'm not sure what the forum policy is for reviving necro-threads ... but I'll see.

I just received my new Kifaru Woobie about an hour ago via UPS.

I'll post a thread about it later -- after testing --- but for now, just wanted to note that they've almost doubled the insulation (from 2 oz/sq yd to 3.6), and it's a new insulation. Their rep told me they expect it'll take it's capability into the 30'sF -- what ever that means. We'll see.

I'm still not entirely sure how I'm going to use mine in my new WBBB, but in Florida here, I think it may prove useful, even in winter. (We were in the 80'sF again today in mid-December.)
Winter is coming. But first, autumn, my favorite time to camp. Temps are cooler but snow's not flying yet. Nights are longer for extra sleep. The flying biters and touristas are dissipating. Life is good.
