Practical too. Heavy, expensive, hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

So it must just be "Art".

Wow. Can you imagine getting your skin pinched in between the straps on that thing?

Or grilling yourself on it after it's been in the sun for a while...?

    From the creator...

    Personal Statement MRossy:

My interest in furniture design is not new one, it has always been a hobby that made friends tilt there heads, I have made a variety of hammocks throughout my life, but this is the first hammock to be made from stainless steel. Stainless steel is such a great medium out of which to make hammocks due to its resistance to weather, so basically I have designed a hammock for life. Stainless.

Mrossy stainless steel hammocks are now made from quality stainless steels and components.

All hammocks are hand made so no two hammocks are the same.

This hammock is a registered with The New Zealand Intellectual Properties Office

Each side of the hammock comes with 3m of rope + 2.4m hammock = 8.4m allowing a metre for going around a tree; the hammock can hold up to 400kgs.

The hammocks are made from stainless steel strapping, bonded with stainless steel rivets and have stainless steel fittings and ropes, they are basically a hammock for life, and hence are designed not to rust.

They do not get hot in the sunlight because they reflex the infrared component of the sunlight, they do however need a blanket on a cold night.
