    Asym Hammocks and UQ's

Are there certain UQ's that work better with asymmetrical hammocks?

I was just looking at the warbonnet yeti and it says that it is asymmetrical......is this true? and would it work with a HH asym?

Don't HH's have bottom openings? So they need a special UQ with a slit in it?

I do have a bottom entry, but I have been using my PLUQ and just pushing it over to the side as I get in, then fixing it once I am in.

I was just wondering if there was a type that was better for laying asymm.

Why should certain underquilts work better or worse with assym hammocks? The underquilt does not need to fit the hammock, it needs to fit you. "Assymetrical" just means that the mosquito netting is cut like a parallelogram, to give you space for your head/shoulders and your feet. This means the hammock is made to lay in a specific way, usually head left, feet right. The hammock body remains to be a rectangle. Most people will lie diagonally, one way or another. Underquilts usually have a shock cord suspension to be able to move whichever direction the sleeper is lying. All underquilts made for gathered end hammocks will fit your gathered end assym hammock. Just pick an underquilt that fits your size and preferences (full-length, 3/4...).

As far as I know, all of the UQs made by cottage manufacturers fit on a WBBB, which is arguably the "most asym" hammock out there.

Okay then, thanks. I was just curious as I said in the OP, as I was looking at a WB Yeti and it claims it has an asym cut....wasn't sure if there was something special out there.
