    Thread supplier

Just thought Id pass along where Ive been buying thread http://www.cleanersupply.com.

They have Gütermann Tera and Mara for the best price I was able to find online. The other nice thing (for me at least) is it shows up at my door 24 hours after I place the order for $3 shipping. I'm not really sure how that works out.

Any other good suppliers people use?

    ....sigh

I just went to a local fabric store and picked up some upholstery Gutermann, but I don't know if it's Tera or Mara, and unfortunately the sales people aren't that knowledgeable. Shipping to Canada would double the price.

I did the same thing, but it was Gutermann heavy duty. I'm still not entirely sure what it is, but I do know that neither my std home and industrial machine liked it. I switched to the Mara 70 and it was night and day.

As for the upholstery thread (at least from the cleaning supply site) the light upholstery thread is Tera 60, and the std upholstery thread is Tera 40

That's a great US shipping price, even though the Tera 70 I looked at was slightly more expensive than diygearsupply charges.
Also, fantastic choice of colors which may be important for some projects.

It looks like the shipping to Canada is also cheap, so I'll definitely add cleaner supply to 'the list' here.

Excellent prices on rotary cutters also, which are ridiculously expensive here in the fabric stores ($40+).
Also, thread clippers, and...here we go...

    Thanks for that link, jar!

Thats the same company as www.wawak.com

They have a few other sites under different names.

Yeah every time I look at the site I end up ordering something else. Picked up the wiss and generic clippers the other day.

Thanks for helping me spend more money I was looking for some heavier thread to see if one of my machines will run it. So, we'll see how the Mara 30 does. I also got some Tera 40 to try.
