Panthertown quick question...

I am heading up to Panthertown in Cashiers, NC tomorrow afternoon and was debating who was driving with my hiking partner. Has anyone been up there recently or remember how the road was. I want to take his Accord to save gas as opposed to my old Pathfinder and he swears the roads were too bad for his car. I disagree and was wondering if anyone remembers. We are going to the cold mountain gap trail head. Thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I've been there, but I don't recall any concerns w/ the roads. Maybe you could call the rangers over that area or the guy who's phone # I believe is listed on the map. That would settle it<G>.
