Finished my latest rain tarp. I feel a lot better about my thread injecting since my last tarp. I did shallow cat cuts. 3 inches on front edges and 5 inches on long sides. I also used the hybrid flat felled seam on the ridge line. It is 13 X 10 of 1.9 oz rip stop. I used nylon straps and metal triangles ( from DIY Gear Supply ) for tie outs. The last few pictures are the tarp drying after the dunking method of silicone and mineral spirits. Wasn't really looking for the lightest since I am predominantly a car camper. Hopefully the waterproofing will be as good as my last tarp which has held up very well. I don't have a weight yet, still waiting on drying time. The color looks Grey in the first pics but it is blue like the last pics.
