    UQP

Could someone explain the advantages of the UQP. Which would be better for what application. What vendors manufacture these for sale. Do they come in different length as my wife & I have an incubator 20 & 2 Jarbrdges between us. Any info would be appreciated.

2QZQ makes them and they really help to keep the wind from robbing your heat that has built up in your UQ. I have a breathable one by 2QZQ and it really help out on breezy and windy days. Also helps to keep my UQ clean and keeps rain splatters off of my UQ.

There's just one size, but 2 options, one for the gathered end hammocks, and one for the bridge models. The only difference between them is the bridge version has little tabs for clipping it to the corners of the bridge.
The uqp covers the entire hammock, there aren't short one's meant to only cover half length uq's. For just a piece of ripstop, it's real light and takes up no room, so I take it out everytime. Plus with all that money I spent on those quilts, I want to protect them from the elements as much as possible, ie. rolling fog, underbrush, heavy rain bouncing back up, sparks from the fire....
Go with the breathable. As you sleep you release vapor. That moisture travels through your clothing, through your quilts and out into the air. If you went with a silnylon uqp, it would trap that moisture in you uq.
I just bought a second one in multicam...

Donna here...We make them in one standard length. We have made some longer when someone needs a longer one for a longer custom UQ. A couple of years ago, someone wanted us to make a UQP shorter for their 3/4 length UQ. We did, but he didn't like the way it fit his hammock. We decided the standard length works best for the standard length and 3/4 length UQs.

    Ms Donna:
Will you all be getting some coyote brown material in, in the near future for UQPs? If not in near future I may order the green.

    Thanks-Robert

We are having a hard time finding the Coyote Brown and the Olive Brown. I'm sorry, but I don't know when we will be getting it back in stock. We are trying...checking our suppliers often. I was told those colors aren't being made right now. I will keep looking...hopefully soon we will be able to get these colors back in stock. I have plenty of the Argon Camo. This is very nice fabric, and weighs less than the 1.1 calendared ripstop Coyote Brown and Olive Brown. Donna

    I just ordered 2 UQPs from 2QZQ.

    Thanks Ms Donna:
I'm in no hurry as its pretty snakey here in TN & I'm waiting for cooler weather. My dog came in bit on the muzzle last week with the fang marks over an inch apart. Probley a big rattler. He's doing fine now.

    thanks again-Robert

I like mine mainly to keep the wind from robbing the heat from my UQ. Adds a bit of warmth over-all as well. Used mine on my Linville gorge trip last year...was glad I had it with me.
