    rain on suspension lines

no that I'm getting things setup and going in right direction here is the next question.

HH web site says snake skins keep you dry from rain coming down lines.
not sure i beleave this one and what has others had happen and how to solve it.
i watched the video of the water test with all the diferent water breaks used and very cool video.
but does the skins work as they say they do?

I have never had a problem when the skins are on. When I don't have skins I just have a drip line. Easy fix.

I try and leave the skins bunched under the tarp to keep everything dry and use the extra ridge line to tie back under the tarp to create a drip line

I bunch up the skins just so they are under the tarp a bit. That way water will hit them and drip down. Additional rain can't collect on your suspension if you bunch the skins up just under the tarp. If you push the skins back to the trees, water will collect on the suspension and run down it. In that case you will need to install a drip line.
