I wouldn't fix a new tarp that leaks. I'd contact Tom and ask for a replacement - and I'm sure he'll do it.

    I'd get both.

Hi, and let me hijack this thread. I am deciding between jungle or expedition hammock. I guess the difference is only in the material, meaning that the jungle one is whaterproof, what means you cannot sweat through it?

Well, I want a rectangular tarp, not the diamond one. The reason is that it can be used as a shelter for unexpected rain, or a shelter for more persons in the evening. My children 4 and 7 years they sleep on the ground, and bigger tarp will allow to cover us all, so they dont need bivybag.

Please, anybody has experiences with claytons big rain fly? Do you know any other option maybe more flexibile on installing? I would like to have a possibility to install the tarp 90 degrees wise, I mean turn and tie to the trees to the shorter side.

    thanks for you help!

Marek, I love my expedition hammock. As far as rain fly, I use a different manufacturer. Tarps are generic, meaning they don't have compatability issues with hammocks made by someone different.

thanks for the reply... do you have a 2,5 or 3 meters long hammock? I am 182cm high 80kg person, I found some threads about this, but the american units are a bit confusing
