Can someone help me with what zipper stuff to buy from Quest?
I'm going to make my own HH clone and want to zipper the bugnet in place so I'll have to put together my own zipper, but I don't know what pieces to get.
I'd like to be able to zip it off completely, but I'd also like to be able to zip in either direction(dual pulls).
Is that enough info to answer my question?

I just finished doing a similar set-up. My bugnet doesn't remove completely though. To do that you'd need a separating zipper and I think you have to buy them pre-made, so you'd need a long one. If you wouldn't mind having a short section that isn't zippered, you could use what I did. Then you would just unzip all of it, roll it up and leave it off to the side. It wouldn't get lost or left behind that way. In retrospect I probably should have done it this way too.
I used (Quest P/N's):
5038 #3 YKK continuous zipper, black (sold by the yard)
5055 #3NL YKK double tab zipper pull, black

Separating zippers do have to be purchased premade and that means you are limited to stock lengths. I do not believe separating zippers are available in the length you need to accomplish what you want. You may be able to put together a set of zippers that will meet your requirements but I have not given that any thought. Pre-made zippers can always be shortend from the top but making them longer is not possible to my knowledge.
Continous coil/tooth zippers can be put tegether in any length you want. You merely buy the tape and the approrpiate pulls to go together. It is best to purchase each from the same supplier as different manufacturers of zipper tape may use different configuration of pulls. The pulls are not always interchangable.
Continuous coil zipper tape is often called "self-repairing" because if the zipper is pulled apart it is possible to re-mesh it using the pull. This is not the case with continuous tooth zipper tape. If that pulls apart you a done for and the zipper needs to be replaced. Continuous coil is suitable for most uses and comes in various sizes up to a size 10. The size refers to the width in mm's of the meshing part of the zipper. IOW "size 5" is 5 mm of zipper teeth/coils.
Continuous tooth zipper is heavy duty stuff and stronger than coil but also much stiffer. Hope this helps.

10 is stinking huge. I bought some 10 for a pair of bike panniers and wish I had gone no higher than 8. 5 seems to be a very popular size zipper for high use mission critical openings. 10 is useful for awnings and boat covers but it does not set well with curves or anything that slants or wants to pucker. I have also had difficulty buying double tab sliders for my size 10.

Woah, #10 is really huge. IMHO, I wouldn't use larger than a #5.
With that said, the #3 I used seems perfect for bugnet. It's shouldn't have a lot of stress on it anyway so the #3 should be plenty strong, and lighter weight.

Size 5 is plenty sturdy enough for nets on hammocks.
I've sewn in a size 3 for a bugnet. Nice and light. Need to be gentle though.

I put number 3 continuous zippers on both sides of my Hennessy Hammock. I just hand sewed a couple of stoppers on the ends so I dont run the sliders completely off. THen, for the winter I rip out the hand stitching and and remove the bugnet to save weight. I have done that to 3 hammocks now and I like it it works. The zippers are a little heavy but I deal with it!

PS I will also say that I think number 3 is fine..I cant imagine needing one bigger (Plus that was all that Joanne fabrics had..)

forget those metal stoppers, i just backtack over/across the teeth, seems to work better.
