Mt washington 3 convertible / partial UQ systems

As we start to wind down the end of summer, I've been thinking more and more about underquilts. I really like the idea of a partial UQ with supplementary insulation under my legs, but my fiance isn't sold on the idea.

I just so happened to see the Mt washington 3 convertible, and the idea looks perfect to convince her - partial UQ for the normal times, and the option to add something for her feet if she gets really cold. Seems pretty much like a win-win... EXCEPT for the price. That's a lot of coin for an UQ

Does anyone have any experiences to share with the mt wash 3 convertible? How did it work out for you??

Also, I've noticed there are a lot of new partial UQ's being offered as made by forum members - could someone please give me a short list of all of them that are available (preferably with prices) so I can get a rough summary of what I've missed in the last few months?

    Thanks very much!

I have the Mt. Washington 3 Regular UQ and love it. I'm a cold sleeper so I'd probably never need the convertible option but i would say it's an awesome quilt.

Not exactly sure but the Yeti and Te-Wa are both in the $180 ballpark

I don't know of anyone who owns a set (a newly released item)
I agree with the $$ part...since I have not yet tried it, I'll withhold judgement

That two piece Mt Washington looks like the ticket to me. For a 20 F UQ, I'd just get the top section and carry a 48in ridgerest or evazote. They make that little Z-rest sit pad, you could place that inside the foot section of your topquilt and that might be all you need.

That photo got me to add 3 small velcro tabs to hold them together and pretty much seal the gap. Works ... and easy.
