OMW Or SF?
Got an 11' hammock and looking into tarps. I want a 4 season tarp, doors preferred, and long enough to cover all my gear when under me. What would suit me better? The Wilderness Logics Old Man Winter with a 132" ridge line. Or the Standard Warbonnet Superfly? Or is there something better for a comparable price?

I looked at the same 2 tarps the first year of hammocking. I went with old man winter (144") due to the extra bottom tie out and the extra foot of ridgleline. breaks down to:
omw, 3 bottom tie outs, 2 side pulls, doors and 12' RL (mine, and in winter the extra space under helps)
Superfly, 2 bottom tie outs, 2 side pulls, doors, 11' RL (love the digital camo)

Don't overlook the UndergroundQuilts Winter Dream. You can choose an 11' or 12' ridgeline. I got the 11' and it is one fine tarp!

What does the "30d silnylon" mean? in noob terms if possible

It means that the fabric is 30 denier nylon. Denier, refers to the size of the thread used. Sil, refers to the silicone they put on the nylon that helps with shedding water.

So would 30 D be considered a better material? Strength wise?

30D is a lighter (thus thinner) material than a 70D. Many top quilts are made from a 10D which is ultra thin, very soft and extremely lightweight. If you are looking for strength, go higher in the denier rating.

On, I will do, Thanks to all.
