Your hammock is 11' on the BODY length... it's Ridgeline is 110" long, (83% of the body legth) which is the number you need to be concerned about. The ridgeline of you hammock is only 9.16 feet long. and 11' tarp will give you nearly a foot of length on each side if you center the hammock correctly

If you look at the first post of this thread you'll see a very familiar hammock underneath an 11' tarp. Any of the choices you've mentioned or been given will do you just fine, but don't look at it like an 11' hammock will just barely fit under an 11' tarp. IMHO.. go with the superfly.. and go with the camo. it's worth the upgrade, and Brandon's tarps are great.


Oh and get the panel pull option (Superfly comes with them standard) it makes the inside of a tarp a LOT roomier

And yes.. the Blue hammock in that picture is an 11' hammock with 110" RL under an 11' tarp as well. My wife pitched the tarp slightly off center though

OK, thanks for clearing the air. I didn't realize that. I was thinking I needed a bare minimum of 11' tarp. That clears the air a lot. Thank you.

OK, I'm heading out tonight to try everything out. Current set up is an el cheapo tarp, staked out on four corners, 11' hyper d hammock, 0*bag, and me. I will check in tomorrow with temps and comfort

Last night's low was 45*. I was completely comfortable. Only mistake I made was not having a beanie or a sweater of some kind. I had the bag insidetge hammock and I was inside of that. My one foot felt like it was damp from compressing the sleeping bag and the same for my butt, other than that, it was great.

Congrats on your first night in your new hammock!

Keep pushing yourself until you hit that temp where you have problems.. Just make sure you have an escape plan should you need it.
