Last night's low was 45*. I was completely comfortable. Only mistake I made was not having a beanie or a sweater of some kind. I had the bag insidetge hammock and I was inside of that. My one foot felt like it was damp from compressing the sleeping bag and the same for my butt, other than that, it was great.

    So far, so good.

Just remember that the colder the outside temp, the harder it will be on that bag, under you. The more wind, the more warmth is robbed from your backside. You may consider using a UQP (under quilt protector). This will keep the wind from taking the warmth. It works with or without UQ.

If you don't have or want to buy an UQP, you can use a rain poncho, if you carry one. Gather the ends and hang under the hammock. No extra gear. It will allow your bottom insulation to better perform at lower or windier conditions.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Keep in mind, the MSS (Modular Sleep System) comes in different sizes. Don't get one too small.
