This Wisconsinite can't make it that weekend. Hope those that do make it have a cheesy time.

Wouldn't be able to make the trek up til Sat AM. Kinda makes the NCT impractical for me.
Ice Age Trail allows primitive camping near Antigo, I believe. Not sure if any areas would work for what grizzly is looking for, I haven't hiked it.......yet.
What about copper falls state park we could hang and hike the trails from their that way the guys that can't make it earlyer can find us easy. If any one has other spot in mind let me know I was planing to look for a spot in the national but I ran out of time this week looking for a new truck. image.jpg
I did find a new one so I am good to go!!
I would prefer a spot in national so any ideas would be great. I will look tonight and try to have a location pined down this soon
I could probably make it that first weekend of Oct. Rainbow Lake or Porcupine Lake Wilderness Areas in the Cheq. Nat. Forest would be my vote.

I plan on leaving from Milwaukee regardless of the place picked on fri around 3pm. I will be taking 41-45 and either 10 to 51 or 45 depending on the final destination. If anyone want to do a car pool or get picked up along the way let me know.
It does not really matter to me where we go.
Ok the location is going to be the Porcupine Lake wilderness area
I am thinking it will be close to the same area as the winter hang last year
It should have good fishing and depending on the camp spot maybe a mile hike in
I will see if I can get maps posted for the parking spot
Now I have only been to the spot in the winter so if anyone has ore experience with that
Area and knows of a nicer spot in the Porcupine Lake wilderness area let me know
If needed for the guys coming in latter I can flag the trail on the way in if needed.
I will be hiking that section tomorrow doing some fall maintenance. I'll let you know if I see anything though I'm not exactly sure where the winter hang was.
As in the up? Nevermind found it. You are going to have to get detailed, preferably a google earth map.
I will get a map of it. It was around the Porcupine lake south east of Drummond
If you look on the map at the Porcupine lake their is a parking spot with a stream
That runs to the lake that would be the spot but I will
Get a map pic up for every one
