Jim here from the Tacoma area, I got into hammocks for the same reason a lot of people here did, I just don't like sleeping on the ground. I am into cycle touring and this just adds a new dimension to my gear, I am set to cross the USA in Feb of 15 going from FLA to CA on what is called the Southern Tier, not quite sure if the hammock can be used in west Texas. I currently own a Eno dbl nest which I use in the bag yard for chillin and a Hennessey Asym Zip which is my camping hammock. This is a great site and I have learned tons already. Thanks Jim
