Oh, it is. Believe me! Well, not sure about the nutrition part, but I do know my body won't function without it! And by the number of ways to do it it warrants its own group!

Sorry mate, but that just made me cringe! While caffeine is a necessity, I can't deal with Nescafe.. The way I do is is as follows:

    But to each their own!

My coffee mug. An old, outdated melsomething plastic, blue thing. Holds about 12oz. Won't go without it.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

A watch. On long distance trips, people say it's a luxury. Is the sun out? Start hiking. Is it night time? Go to bed. But I use it in conjunction with a map or guide to figure out how fast I'm traveling and how far I have to go. I could just look on my phone (which is also my camera), but that's an inconvenience.

A pillow. Small, packable camp pillow. A balled up article of clothing isn't a pillow.

I always bring a book of short stories. Reading horror tails by Clark Ashton Smith in a deserted forest in the middle of night is usually a good idea.

I haven't tried hiking with the ukulele yet, but it's on the books. It would have to be a solo trip, as my ukulele skills are sub-par.
