    Your one luxury item.....

Curious what everyone's one luxury item is on a long distance backpacking trip. I'm sure everyone is weight conscious....some more than others. While I'm not a ultra light backpacker who watches every once, I do mind each item.
I'm sitting here going through my checklist for an upcoming 7 day hike. What I will carry on my back, and what I will wear. Checking to make sure each item is really needed, and if I have a lighter option for a particular item.
So....I've been eyeing this flask I bought........thinking I wouldn't mind carrying some Wild Turkey American Honey while I rest my bones in my swing. Not needed, but sure would be a nice reward at the end of each day.

What is your luxury item on a long distance hike?

An ice chest full of steaks and shrimp, but, I guess your talking trip by foot and not car.

I like my gear hammock (Thanks LifeScout). It's lite and it holds my gear up off the ground and not against a tree(creapy crawlies). It helps cut wind from underneath and also acts as a weathershield. It's also a hammock chair if I need it near a fire ring.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

I have a couple Monarchs and they are nice with groups. Gives everyone a laugh when you rolloff backwards!

Of course you can get your laughs back watching anyone else give it a try throughout the evening.

Flask of Basil Hayden always makes the trip, group or solo.

Mule taught me the proper usage for the small sized bags in my Sawyer Squeeze, that just don't seem to have enough volume for even solo filtering, at last year's hang. Flask is probably retired now.

No question about it; my camp chair. Either my REI Flexlite chair (when spending more time camping) or JRB folding stool (for high mileage trips) .
