    Ridgeline Fan Suggestions?

Last summer I bought a cheap dollar store battery powered fan which ran on 2 AA batteries. I got the idea from these forums. I hung it upside down from my ridgeline to help keep the air moving inside my bugnet. It really made a difference for 80* + evenings with little wind.

The other day, it stopped working. I would like to replace it with a better one. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best ridgeline fan?

I would like it to be small, light, more durable, and not too expensive. It would also be a bonus if it ran on AAA batteries because I only use AAA flashlights.

If anyone has any thoughts or suggestion, please let me know.

I think you'll find all of the small fans will be "inexpensively made" and not the longest lived.

This is one that some where using a few years ago. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003DGPWLK/...VNOKO3E5&psc=1

Thank you for the recommendation. I'll give this one a try. I'd rather it used AAA's but no one seems to make one like that. Oh well, I guess I have to carry to 2 types of batteries in order to stay cool.

Although they are very expensive if you get the Lithium AA's they are much lighter and last 4 times longer.
    For a 3 day weekend (2 nights) I don't bring spares.

I did the same thing with one sized batteries. I went with AA since that is what my garmin GPS uses, headlamp and my weather radio.

You could use these, or similar and then just carry AAA. But, they will get used up faster than

Wow, I have never seen these. Great idea, I will definitely try these out.

Besides since the Travelon fan that others mentioned has now been recommended by Shug, I have to try it.

I've used small pieces of aluminum foil to take up the space to use a aaa battery, it's worked for me in a pinch. Just make sure the pieces aren't connected...lol. It would be a problem. There my safety disclaimer...lol
