What should I make my prusik out of if using Zing-It to suspend my rainfly?

Mason's line? If so, what size?

    Thanks in advance!

Gargoyle found a strong, thin line at Ace Hardware that he used for prussics on Zing-it. It worked great, and it apparently doesn't absorb water the way mason's line does. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any like it (no Ace Hardware stores near me, and I haven't found it online). Look for something with a smaller diameter than zing-it that has a pretty tight braid. Let us know if you find a good one.

Will that work? I thought the prusik line needed to be smaller diameter than the main line.

I DO have an Ace near me. I'll look around there thanks. Do you know if what he used was a natural fiber or synthetic?

Four or five wraps works great for me.

Once the coating wears off you may need to reduce the number of wraps to three since the prusiks may grip too much (especially when wet).

You could also use the 2.2 Zing-it for your fly and the 1.75 Zing-it for the prussics.
