Maverick Gear Hammock in ground mode

All you really need are 4 X 1" washers. Use existing parts from hammock under-frame as pole uprights go low without tarp or add extra poles inserts for added height to attach tarp. Picture shows a ground sheet with predetermined hole spacing for easy setup. Fibre glass tension rods are used to hold hammock down at each end, if desired and can also to provide tarp end uprights, if desired.

BUT - WHO WANTS TO SLEEP ON THE GROUND???

Maverick - For the quick "self supporting" no trees/go to ground emergency. Tarp can be added later.

Nice bridge style hammock. It looks very well built, but, I must ask how much does it weigh?

Basic setup without under frame 1.5kg. With frame 3kg. Like sleeping in a floating cot/stretcher.

Thanks for the weights. That's too heavy for me on hikes at 3.3 pounds w/o frame or 6+ with frame, but looks nice for car camping.

I like that it basically comes with a ready-made "go to ground" solution. Lends itself to more versatility that way.
I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.
