Like Thumbs said, I'm sure we could meet you at the trailhead and guide you in. Not difficult at all. If I didn't have to work till 8 tonight we'd be heading out after 5:00 here and hitting the trail around 8 or 9 tonight!! :-) As it goes, we will probably be there about noon tomorrow.

Let us know Andrew and we'll get you there!

It is looking like I may not be able to make this now. Still a glimmer of hope, so I'm not counting myself out yet.

I'll probably make it Saturday around noon. The Deam is practically my backyard and I hike the Sycamore Loop about once a month. I've been lurking on the forums for a while so it will be good to put faces to names. I might bring a buddy who hasn't yet realize the joys of sleeping a few feet above the ground.

As far as worrying about the 10 person limit, I was hiking there with a group of about 30 geocachers a few months ago and a lady from the US Forest Service was at the trailhead at the fire tower doing a survey. She just made us split up into groups of 10 when we left the parking lot. Once we were out of sight...

Just keep things clean for anyone else in the future. It's a wilderness so follow LNT as much as possible. When you leave, would others know you were there? Let them enjoy the experience as well. "x" groups of ten is fine, I don't think there is any specific distance they need to be apart. I guess that would be up to whatever authority is asking.

Sure wish I could make it but I have plans in Indy for the weekend.

I can bring pepperoni and another topping. Sausage crumbles info can find some. I won't be in until Saturday morning.

Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
