Okay I know the company line from Warbonnet on the ridgerunner is 250 pounds. Is there anyone out there in the 275 pound range that is using one? Just wondering if someone else who is slightly over the rated 250 is having any issues?

Some info here.
Ask for the beefier head end spreader bar.
I'm 270lbs and it's the most comfortable hammock I've ever slept in.
Other people do but I do not.
I sleep on my side or stomach in a bed at home and usually can't get to sleep at all on my back. In the hammock though, I sleep on my back with my head slightly turned to either side with a small pillow and sleep great.
For some reason, being on my back doesn't affect me in the hammock. It must be so dang comfy it doesn't matter.
Thanks OB. I don't know that this old dog can change that trick.
I have seen reference to using treking polls for the spreader bars. There is supposed to be instructions on Warbonnets web site but I can't seem to find them. Anyone have a link for that?
Here is a peek at the RidgeRunner.....
I am a back sleeper but side is comfy and stomach do-able.

LOL Thanks Shug. I feel completely informed and entertained.
I never sleep on my back in a bed. But I do in a hammock. I have no idea why. As the other guy said, it's just so comfortable. I sleep on my side in the hammock too, but often find myself sleeping on my back.
I wrote to Brandon at Warbonnet and he said that I am too big for the Ridgerunner (at 6'2" and 290 pounds), and that I would be most comfortable in the WBBB XLC I already have...
I really want to try a bridge-style hammock but haven't been able to find one that would fit me (both weight-wise, and one that hopefully wouldn't pinch my sides to death either).
