    Fairly Noob to hanging

Just wanted to say hi to everyone here. An to say Thanks! Y'all have been very helpful with my venture into Hanging. Wish I found this website before I started. I mostly motorcycle camp and bought a ENO DoubleNest last year, the idea was to save space. I still carry the tent because there are a number of places that do not allow hanging and try as I might I usually cannot convince the owners or Rangers that i will do no damage. Is there any group or organization that works to promote Hanging?
I also learned that Hanging was way more comfortable - so much so I keep trying to convince my SO to let me put one up in the bedroom - that's not gonna happen - but I do spend quite a few nights in the backyard. I find I get a longer and better nights rest in the Hammock.

I have added to my rig over the last year as I needed to. netting and a tarp, still using the slapstraps and need to change those out but more importantly i plan to try to make the fall hangout in PA in Oct. I know I will need to get or make an UQ - been using a pad it works alright but once the temps get down to 50° it is a little cool!

Anyway - I look forward to meeting some of you in Oct and hopefully I won't be too much of a pest asking questions. And thanks to those running the forum for providing such an excellent resource

Welcome pops. I father is on the border of being a hammock biker. I just can't get him into a hammock. I think he knows that once he gets in one he will drop the big bucks and by lots if gear because he will love it so much.
