Smile Tree camping 30' high in Minnesota... a portaledge IS a type of hammock!

Last time I posted up some pictures of my old portaledge it was well accepted here so I decided that I will continue posting on HammockForums until I get yelled at. I mean, a portaledge is just a bridge hammock with a spreader bar on four sides instead of two, right!? Haha. Either way, I hope you guys appreciate the uniqueness of my setup.

I am almost finished building the fly for this portaledge and I will be posting up a tutorial in the DIY section. Please tell me if you guys would welcome this or if you think it isn't hammocky enough.

I hope you enjoy the footage!

I like to keep my videos short & sweet.

EDIT: I AM WEARING A HARNESS AND CONNECTED TO MY CLIMBING ROPE. It is just hidden under my sleeping bag.

If a hammock is a suspended open air sleep system then you got one. Always enjoy seeing your antics in the tree tops.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Refreshing stays tied in with climbing gear...greatly lessens the chance of a fall.

Zilla! Haha, thanks for the reminder. I don't think the video shows my climbing rope even once so I edited my initial post so that everyone knows I am doing this safely. Woot!

I love your videos. You are indeed hanging. As far as I am concerned you should ... Carry On!

(maybe in my younger years ... my 40's makes me re-evaluate things quite often. But, boy do I have stories form the good old days! Please keep telling/sharing yours as they come.)
