Shug, Thanks for another video. I only wish those 4D GTX Solomon boots worked as well for me as they did you. They were very well built and I loved them around town and for day hikes. Never a blister, but on the AT they ended up bruising the heck out of both feet and the big toe on my bigger foot once the feet had swelled up. I'm still working on growing back muh big toe nail!

Switched to a pair of their trail runners and so far besides having wet feet when the weather turns, I love them.

What do you do with your boots on one of you super cold outings? I usually put them next to my pack like you but awaken to ice blocks for boots. Makes it real fun trying to get them on.

Yep. Stick a stake in the ground and turn your boots upside down on the stake.

A slug in the boot is a bummer! Quite a gooey mess....

I did add Superfeet inserts to mine. I can hike all day in them! Glad you like the runners though.

Just spread them wide open and loosen the laces....they will freeze but I can get my foot in and they temper in due time.

    If you have this: http://dutchwaregear.com/big-carl-pack-hanger.html

Your bag is hung out of way, clip your boots to your bag, cover with pack cover.
