    Marlboro/L.L.Bean UQ

I threw this monstrosity together today, lol. I picked up an L.L.Bean goose down (700 Fill) twin comforter a few weeks ago at a local Goodwill outlet for $4....$1/lb. It's in pretty good shape and still has a lot of loft. I had plans on gutting an old cheap rectangular sleeping bag and transferring the down over, but then I found my old Marlboro large sleeping bag with built in Aero air mattress which I had forgotten about and figured...what the heck! I unzipped and removed the air mattress and put in the comforter in it's place. It's about 78 x 50 and I'm guessing around 3 lbs of goose down with 3-4 lbs of Hollofill II @ 9" of loft, lol. Yeah, it's heavy! Probably about 8-10 lbs....haha. Just waiting on the next Polar Vortex! DIY UQ.jpg

    I'm thinking anchor chain

    Nice score.

As long as you can cinch the ends and the middle doesn't sag, you're golden.

Haha...just tarp clips attached to each corner and paracord running to a biner around the whoopie slings. The ends are cinched pretty good but it wont hurt to stuff a small fleece jacket in both ends. I want to use a bungee cord on one end but didn't have the right size/strength. Still tweeking it.

Is 0 Kelvin the "comfort" rating, or just the minimum temp you can survive at?
