Just buy beer in an aluminum bottle (w/screw cap) or use a flask for your Crown or Scotch and you don't have to worry about spills. That way no special pocket, etc is needed.
Brilliant but I drink homebrew and micro only. Maybe I'll just bring wine in a flask, or just go straight for the hard stuff! Lmao!

The aluminum bottles have pretty sharp tops that could tear expensive fabrics. Flask sounds safer.

Bottle your home brew in the aluminum bottles
Or dangle a growler from your suspension with a string so you can pull it up when you need a drink

For those without ridgelines, this seems like a pretty easy trekking pole mod.

That's what micro brewers love to hear!

The only solution that comes to my mind is a line with a tensioner from the head end of the hammock to the steak at the foot end of your tarp and a prusick holding a coozy.

I think I paid about 3.50 for a pair of these on a recent order from STP. They work great! and at that price, not worth it to try and make it..

I'm working on a tarp strap with a hook to hang from my ridge line, pull down to swallow, return to hanging position, I have not got past the ridge line yet.
