GA ~ Raven Cliff Falls Hang, Oct 17, 18 and 19

From Cleveland take hwy 129 N. Make a right onto 75A. After you pass Smithgall Woods / Dukes Creek make a left onto hwy 348. Raven Cliff Falls is marked on the left about 4 miles up. There is a parking area to your left and the camp sites are along the creek behind the parking lot. There is a wood rail fence on the left side of the parking lot and the old dirt road leads to the camp area.

Here's a link about Raven Cliff Falls from Atlanta Trails website. Good info on a variety of trails throughout North Ga and the metro area.

I found out last night that my family day at Ft. Benning is that same weekend and it's a chance to see my oldest grandson, who is doing Iowa National Guard basic training there. So I probably won't be able to make it unless something changes.

Wow! I just found out the Lake Oconee Hang went belly up today. What a disappointment that was! I hope Charliev can make to this hang or the Halloween Trick or Treat on the Chattooga. I am going to try and make this one, even if it is for just one night (Friday most likely) coming straight up after work. Will be good to see everyone that can make it again. I'll bring some firewood too.

You're gonna be missed!

I was hoping to see you (and see how my purple palace is holding up). Don't blame you though... I'd go see the grandson too: your visit will do him good.

I'm sorry I'll miss seeing you. The purple palace is holding up wonderfully and has been much admired.

I would like to come if y'all would have me. I've never been to a group hang before, sounds like fun. I need to figure out the logistics since we only have one car, maybe I can get a friend to come along to hitch a ride with.
