Here is the map from two years ago....last year we camped to the right just before you got to the old spot.
Not too hard to find if it is marked and walked.

Folks-
I did a quick modification to the attendance spreadsheet that I hope will be helpful. Here's the link. I added a column for each day of the hang. You can place a '1' on the days you'll be around and the sheet will sum up the forecasted attendance by day. This could help plan for quantities on group meals, parking, etc....
I'll be leaving Eagan, MN around 9:30am on Friday and I hope to be home before 4pm on Sunday. Carpooling sounds like a good idea. I have an AWD minivan but frankly it can only handle about 6 inches of snow - this does not look to be a problem right now....
Thanks, I've updated the spreadsheet with my days. Also, I've acquired a parachute for use during the hang, you can get just about anything on eBay. Looking forward to the trip, now if the weather would just cooperate and turn cold.

Phone will only let me make a "note" can someone make the proper entry for me?
Directionally challenged...comicly so.
Not all who wonder are lost...But I'm probably just lost.
I fixed it for you HomeMade.
I fixed my quilt this morning. Needed some reinforcing at the corners for the tie outs. That makes my equipment all good to go. Now I just need to get food ready and start figuring out my packing.
Looks like a significant hike, a straight 10hr drive there puts me at the trail head about midnight. I don't think I want to do that hike at night tired and alone. I will likely post up around Eau Claire (or maybe nearer Minneapolis) for the night then come in rested Friday am.
Are there any easternish folks coming in besides me?

I updated the days I will be there, but could not add anything in comments section. I have the fire grate from last year, and hope to get a reflector oven set up for it done this week. I also have a 5 gallon turkey pot for water by the fire, a 2.5 gallon stock pot, two long handle ladles and a long spoon. Two coffee pots a 20 cup and a 32 cup for hanging over the fire. I collected a big stack of the foam pads again and about 400' of 1/4" rope for tarps. I will throw a couple tarps in the truck along with some big trash bags. I'll throw the aluminum scoop shovel in too
I'll be bringing a big batch of beef stew for Wed night some minestrone soup and some breakfast sammies too.
We need to remind everyone to bring at least two gallons of water with them, either in milk jugs or frozen in zip lock bags. And a stool to sit on around the fire.
If camping, Black River State Forest near Tomah is an option. Further on, if you're going to I-35 there's Afton and William O'Brien State Parks in Minnesota along the St. Croix River, or if you're taking 53 up through Wisconsin there's the Brule River State Forest (special permit required).
