This year we are going to keep it at the same location as last years FBH, but how about you and I and anybody else that wants to join maybe think about a hangen/ice fishen trip. I don't know about you but if I get to ice fishing, I'm going to be doing a whole lot less hiking around

Besides with all the new people that show up to this every year, it might be easier if the veterans of this hang and cold weather hangen in general have a good idea about the area in case of emergencies. Looken' forward to seeing ya up there bro!!

Hello all, I don't post a lot, mostly doing a lot of reading and enjoying all the exploits, hints, tips & experience of the hangers here, but I especially look forward to your Minn Frozen Butt Hang threads each year.

(mostly because of the coincidence of the town in last year's post, and the fact that my eye just caught it again. Accuweather Daily U.S. Extremes is not something I note each & every day [cue up Twilight Zone theme]).

Anyhow, I hope you good folks get the weather & temps you want in January 2015 for the hang, but, if today is any indicator, it's appearing that you have a "great" start

Strange. I'm just over an hour north of there and we're having light sweater weather right now with chances of rain.

When I lived in International Falls, minus-18 degrees was considered "light sweater weather."

Finally got approval for the days off. I got the 14th to the 18th off, so I should be able to make it down on the 14th to help setup.

Alright, so where are we parking. Where are we camping? What is the closest town? Any have some general directions coming form INdiana?
I would like to leave Thursday after noon from Fort Wayne (4 hrs south east of Chitown)with hopes of hitting the trail head/campsite before noon friday. i'm up for a car pool, pm me if interested.
