    Where do you camp?

I'm interested in knowing what type of land you typically hammock camp on:

    State Parks
    National Parks
    State Forrest Land
    National Forrest Land
    State Conservation Land
Established Hiking Trails (AT, PCT, OT)
    BLM Lands
    USACE Lands
    Private Land
    Specific Camping Fee
    General Use Fee

I will choose THIS post to answer the question...LOL. I pretty much go wherever I can. The problem I have is that my first big hike last year ( I had not hiked at all for 15 years or so) was in the Grayson Highlands, Mt Rogers area in southern Virginia on the AT. Since then, most of my hiking has been in the southern parts of the AT (south of Damascus) and I am officially spoiled. I live in Central Ohio and the hiking here is just not as grand as all those vistas you are greeted with many times throughout the day on the AT. Dont get me wrong there are some good trails that go though my state, they just are not the AT...

I am planning a trip down in Shawnee State Forest in the middle of this month and I am excited about it. I have not been to the area before but it gets some decent reviews.

National Forest and a lot of Tennessee State Parks. They're much more flexible than national parks.

Mostly backyard, state parks, and stealth camping in urban areas/city parks/various spots next to the Missouri River.

I assume that "stealth" camping you mean camping anywhere you like without concerns about whether or not it is permitted? Don't ask, don't tell...

Have you ever had any issues or problem with your "stealth" camping? Being chased away or worse?
