    Hammock Gear additional down

Does adding an extra oz of down to the Incubator 20 increase the temp
rating? If so how much per oz?
    Thanks

I have heard that 1 ounce will increase the temp rating about 4-5 degrees. It is probably hard to say with any accuracy since 1 ounce spread over a full length quilt would not go as far as an ounce over a shorter quilt.
I have also heard that one of the benefits of adding down is too minimize down shifting by leaving less room in the channels for movement. I added 1 oz to a HG Burrow I just ordered for that reason.

Same here. +2oz on my 40° for warmth. +1 on my 20° mainly to reduce shifting, benefit is a little extra warmth

4-5 degrees is a lot. I personally don't think you would notice 1 oz at all.
Like you said 1 oz divided between 7 tubes in a full length UQ would be 4 grams per tube.
IMO if you are trying to increase a FL quilts temp rating you need to start at about 4 ozs. and on a 3/4 quilt 2oz.
