Thumbs down Sept 19-21 central indiana trip

My weekend suddenly opened up and I was thinking of a trip into the hoosier national forest. I was thinking of charles deam or perhaps hickory ridge trail area. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in such a short notice hang or has any advice or info on the hickory ridge trail. I've been to the deam a few times and with the Halloween hang coming up I thought a different location, however slight, might be nice. I've been in the area of hickory ridge but never on the trail. Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

It's strange, the Hickory Ridge trail seemed to disappear from all the updated maps. You can still find it on maps doing a Google search, but as for the actual trail...I dunno! Interested in seeing any responses since my thread about this sort of fizzled out IIRC.

I've found it on the hoosier national forest website, it's current, and says its open... Now I'm intrigued.

May have to work, plus I got the kiddos and don't know their schedule yet. I'll stay tuned in through the week. Sounds like fun.

    There it is! http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_...rdb5287855.pdf

Dirty stinky horses allowed Get ready for a poop slip-n-slide if it rains anytime around then. At least that was my experience everytime I hike the penninsula trail.
