If you can sew, you can make a BlackCat and gear hammock yourself. If not, the gear hammock would be a great starter project. Jeff has instructions on his site.

Not many here own the Claytor Mosquito hammock. If they did it's probably as special as a child to them. Good luck in getting someone to part with their MacCat Deluxe. Pony up and shell out the bling.

Be careful before you buy a MacCat Deluxe to go with your Claytor Jungle Hammock, as it may not be long enough for adequate coverage. The stock diamond shaped Claytor fly is about 13' long and I wouldn't want it any shorter. I don't recall the exact length of the MacCat but I do believe it falls short of 13 feet. Claytor does sell a rectangular tarp if you're looking for more coverage but it's not cut like a MacCat and I'm sure it's heavier.

I just checked...the MacCat deluxe is 130" which is just shy of 11'. How are your sewing skills?

Would love too, thought I made it clear above that I can't afford them new? Do I need to edit it to make it more clearer?
