    It's so nice to hike all day without being weighed down by a heavy pack. One really doesn't need much out in the woods. There are plenty of sticks to play with. (That's what my Mom used to tell me when I was a kid ).

    Yes, even when I hurt myself in August in 102* heat the pack was not the problem.

    I also switched up my cook set. A HF member gave me a Hieny pot, which has sturdier sides than the Fosters. With it was a tiny cat can stove that replaced my stove and welding rod stand. The new kitchen is lighter.

    Would like to burn wood fires only but they get soot on the pots. That being said, the Ti Emberlit burns very clean so I need to compare it to carrying fuel.
