Backpacker hammock with Explorer Ultra Lite Fly

Has any one used this combo. I'm having trouble getting the fly to tension properly.

I put the fly off my explorer UL on my son's expedition (about the same length as the backpacker I think). Yes, getting a taught pitch is a challenge because of the difference in length. Best thing to do is just skip the Hennessy rigging and use a separate ridgeline for the fly or at least pullouts from each end going directly to the tree.

I've always kind of thought the fly rigging was sort of buggy on all my Hennessy Hammocks. I've converted them all to whoopies or other suspensions so the stock bits from Hennessy no longer work anyway.

The Explorer fly was minimal coverage on the intended model but sized pretty nicely on a smaller hammock. Good luck.
