    that new hammock smell :)

today i recieved my Traveler from Warbonnet Outdoors. I purchased the single 1.1 layer and it comes in at 12.4oz total.
Since bugs are not a huge problem for most areas i hike, im thinking that the combo of the Traveler, a te-wa underquilt, a MacCat spinn Standard and a ccf torso pad will be great for the remainder of this season (pro'lly until late October) for a SUL kit. I'll add a 1oz headnet if needed.
I think no matter what your goal is, just comfort, reducing pack weight, going all out SUL, or a great price point for a real travel hammock, the WBT is a nice, clean package.

Ever look at the stuff sack and know something great must be lurking inside? well, thats the impression i get..

You've got a wicked light setup there dude. So your ccf pad is for the legs, right? I may be joining you with my own 16.45oz SL 1.7 Traveler on our next trip. With the 12.65oz Te-wa underquilt of course. It's good to have options! You'd better bone up on your slipped buntline hitch.

you'll be best asking Brandon what the wait time is, he may have one ready to ship. I dunno... my order was back on the list a ways and took a few weeks.

yes, the "torso" ccf is for the legs. as an option, the "torso" length could also be used for the rare event of a ground- oh, nevermind..

im really excited about the prospect of sub 5lb hanging.. gotta convince the wife to let me escape but since i just spent 7 days in Colorado im not sure that will fly!

    Yeah man!

I've become quite a fan of the Traveler. I've got a single 1.7 that I really like, primarily because of the weight. Or the lack there of.

im fairly short at 66" tall so the lay may be differnent for you, but i can say the traveler is roomy. doesnt he make the heavier fabric travelers in a larger size? that would make sense, if so.
sans footbox, it is still very roomy. rock on!

It's great to hear that Brandon's "other" hammock is as solid as his main model (not that I would have expected anything else). I bet the traveller would also make a nift lounger/indoor hammock. Might need to look into that in the future
