Just received some stingerz, line locs, and lash it from Dutch for ease of tarp setup.
Great stuff by the way....which Im sure you all know.
Just wondering if you guys leave your lines attached to the tarp when down and folded. Or if its preferred to remove them. I can't really see why it would be a problem leaving them on, but I figured Id ask.

Yes I leave the lines on. No, I do not fold any of my tarps; creasing in the same spot each time is reported to cause issues (wear, leakage). I either snake skin and stuff in a sack or just stuff. I try to capture the lines in the tarp as I slip on the skins so they don't get tangled with each other.

Rather than folding your tarp consider snake skins from Mountain Goat. I use them on all my tarps; just roll the lines in and slip on the sleeves.

Get some small (2X4 inch) ziplock bags from some place like Staples. Thread the line thru a hole in the bottom of the bag and tie a knot so the bag stays close to the tarp, hanging upside down, thus not gathering rain water or dew. Wind the line around your fingers and stuff it in the bag for storage. This will eliminate the fight with all those stray lines at set-up. Weight and bulk are minimal, but well worth the stress reduction.
I keep my lines at about 6 feet, use zing it and just roll them up and then skin the tarp. While there is some tangling, usually a couple of shakes will free everything. I used to coil each line and tie it off, and sometimes if I have time to kill and want to putz I will still do that. Most of the time i don't bother. I don't fold my tarp either, I simply roll it and put snake skins on. I like the skins, because whenever possible, I will hang the tarp but keep it in the skins. I love to be able to see around me and when there is no rain, I love to see the stars above.

I leave em on and let the snake skins eat them while they eat the tarp.
I leave mine on. Mine are attached with a prussik loop lark's headed to the tarp. Starting at the tarp I figure 8 wrap them around my fingers and then, with enough of a tail left on the other side of the prussik, tie them off and skin 'em up. Easy, no tangle, no extra weight. If you're into DIY and don't already have snake skins, they're a good little project. I made mine with noseeum mesh.
I use a continous tarp line of amsteel with small carabiner on 1 end & small figure 9 on the other. While traveling, I remove mine, fold my tarp & wrap it around the bundle as tight as I can get it to create smallest package as possible. Once home I hang it to air out and re-bundle it loosely for storage..
I leave them on. They get wrapped in a figure-eight to keep them from flapping and catching in the wind when setting up in a storm.

I leave them on as well. I usually figure 8 hank them and just tuck them into the folds of the tarp when sliding on the snake skins.
