I think one of the keys with prussiks is to use a smaller diameter line than the CRL. I used D97 Dyneema bowstring material (2 strands, reverse twisted together) to make my prussiks. But even those didn't hold 100%, which is one of the reasons I now prefer using 2 lines (permanently attached to the tarp) with Dutch clips/tarp flyz.

Don't rule out the UCR's. Easy to make, hold better, and easier to move than prussiks.

Exactly, the number that's coming to mind is less than 2/3 the diameter of the main line. That's just off the top of my head, so I could be wrong.

Know where I can find a write up on how this works? I'm not familiar enough with UCR's to picture it.

I've got mason's line prussiked on tach cord. Looks like 3 to 1. Holds pretty good.

I think there is a 'sticky' for making a UCR - I think it is in here.

I made a loop in a piece of Zing-it. Then simply threaded it onto my CRL (one at each end)

I got the idea from 'Redoleary'

That does look like it's much easier than a prussic. I think I'm going to try the Dutch hook/fly style thing first. If I don't like that, I'll try this.
