Absolutely. I really don't vent my 20* UQ until the temp is ~60*. In the 50's, I use my 20* TQ more like a blanket, pulled up to my armpits, sometimes kicking my feet out of the footbox. The TQ can be a bit much in warmer weather, but too bothering. The UQ is extremely versatile. With that said, I do prefer my 40* set in warmer weather, though the difference isn't huge.

For weight reduction and less insulation required, I have considered purchasing a set (at least an UQ) of summer quilts in the 40 degree range. OR just an UQ and use my present poncho liner as a top quilt. BUT I'm not sure I want to spend the money there as I have a few other items in mind....

SO, can you REALLY vent the 20 degree quilts enough that you aren't clammy during the spring and fall?

    Opinions and advice are welcome!
As most have said venting is possible but I hate doing it.
I always wakeup between 2-3 in the am with some part of me frozen or my tee shirt is soaking wet with sweat.

I also don't like the volume a pair of 20s takeup in my pack.
If I'm packing the 20's I have to use the 55L pack instead of the 33L.

If you have the 20s bought then the big bucks are spent.
Having a pair of summer quilts really is nice.

I could never get my 20's in this summer pack.

If you enjoy this hobby during the Alabama summers I would get a set of summer quilts soon rather than later.
