About 6 hours for me, I'd guess closer to 8 for you IL hangers. Car pool maybe??

I'm up for getting something going for after deer season, early Dec, for those who are set up for winter hangin.

All of the areas mentioned so far work well for me. Camped a lot in Ottawa and Pine Woods, real nice grounds and trails. I'm busy Grouse hunting this weekend, Pheasant Opener Oct 18th. Other than that could make something happen. FYI Oct 11 & 12 are Youth Deer so wear your blaze orange if hiking Public Hunting areas that weekend.

Be up for a Fall and/or Winter Hang or two if the weekend works. Always interesting to see how others do things. Been down to 7F in a hammock, -17F in a tent so not worried about the cold. Deep snow on the other hand....

Last weekend in Oct?? Might be able to sneak in another weekend early Nov? Hunting season take precedence over camping for me also. Can hang all year, only a few months in fall to hunt and too few of those weekends that my schedule allows it.

That's the same weekend as the IA Yellow River hang.. Yellow River is only 15 minutes from Prairie Du Chien, WI..
