    Shorter zippers on integrated bugnets.

It seems really uncommon to shorten the zipper like this http://youtu.be/ycD67bxmc8w?t=14m41s, but I find it really appealing. Are there any DIY guides for this, or even reports on how well it functions? Or pictures? I'd search myself, but I have no idea what queries would be appropriate.

I'm fearful that the curve will make the zipper break easily. Is that a likely risk?

That looks cool, i may have to try that. I don't think the curve would effect the zipper very much. There is a good way to find out....try it! I haven't seen any tutorials for that style though....

That looks like it would work just fine. This is probably uncommon because it seems more difficult than simply placing the zipper between the hammock body and the bug net where a (relatively) straight line already exists.

You would have to install your zipper arc n the noseeum material before attaching it to the hammock body.

And you couldn't just fold over the net out of your way.

Wait isn't that a hangnout dirigible? Looks like a cuben and noseeum sock to me, I can see some cuben below the hammock that looks like part of a sock.

My idea is kind of like the one in the video, but upside down, so part of it would be running along the ripstop/noseeum boundary. So essentially it's just the regular zipper, but truncated and curved upwards. Since zippers are heavy this should at least save half an ounce (So not much, but don't try to dissuade me on that alone). How would you go about sewing that, since I read that you should sow the outer part of the curve (larger radius) first? That would be the side that's partially attached to the netting, and partially attached to the hammock. I'm thinking my strategy will be to pin the netting in place, and then sew it on, and then cut the opening, and then sew the inner side. How does that sound?
