Hey plowhorse we may be able to carpool and split gas $$ to save cost. Just a thought. Let me know what you think. I vote for a fall hang as I'm not really equipped for a winter hang just yet. But iff that's what the group wants then I'll try my best to go with it.

there are plenty of trees in the San Jacinto area but you will be above the tree line if you go too far up. Taking the high trails will put you above the trees, but below that it is gorgeous. Pines!

I have no problem carpooling whereever we have a group hang here in the state/within 12-14 hr drive.as far as cold weather gear, mine should be here soon.

oct 16-18 sounds good to me. After that I'll be busy making my annual Haunted house and I'll be in Hawaii at the end of Nov.

I love san Jacinto around the Round valley area, but Im hesitant to go there only because of how many people there are there.. all of the time. (trams full of 80 people every 30 minutes going up)... San G. would be fine, and we could go to Fish creek. We could stay at dry lake maybe, or even at fish creek campsite.

    San G.

The other thing is the longer in the year you want water becomes a problem.

I'll go with you guys if I'm still in California around then. I've been stuck in the Sacramento/Stockton/Modesto area for the last 4 months for work and it doesn't look like I'm leaving anytime soon. I see at least one of you are from up here so carpooling would be cool cause I doubt they'd let me take one of our shared company trucks down wandering for the weekend.
