The Sipsey Fork Guage is located at the Sipsey Recreation Area on Cranal Road, so the cfs figure is the sum total of all the creeks flowing in the Sipsey Wilderness Area.

Currently, it's less than 20cfs and no rain is predicted for the rest of the month. I'd say you will have no problem crossing the creeks. However, the waterfalls won't be spectacular...some will be dried up.

I know it's short notice, but, anybody interested in exploring Whiteoak Hollow this weekend?

I would, but I'm in Florida until Sunday!

Trail 205 used to be the trail from 224 to 206 through Whiteoak Hollow. It was dropped as a maintained trail in the mid nineties. There once was trail marker on 224 about 500 yards from the 208 224 intersection. About seven years ago it was nearly impossible to follow without considerable difficulty.

I can't do this weekend but I was thinking of heading to Sipsey on Tuesday for a night or two.

Thanks southmark, I always thought 205 was the trail/old road that runs along the ridge between Whiteoak and West Bee, all the way from 224 to 209. I found an old Purex Bleach bottle up there last year.
