    Pak-it-Lite Lightfoot Scout

    Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with the Lightfoot Scout, or any Pak it Lite Hammock for that matter. I'm looking at the Lightfoot for an indoor hammock. I already have a Paradiso Brazillian Double Hammock, but I think it's too big for where I want to hang. I was wondering about the comfort, and if that particular hammock was cut for extra head and foot room(box)? like their other more expensive models?

    Thanks, Joe

I recently received a Pak-It-Lite F.O.B. I haven't had the chance to try it out all night yet, just messing around with it a little bit every night. Tonight I'll get the chance to sleep in it all night. So far I really like it, great quality, a lot of amenities and well thought out. It's got glow in the dark zippers on the inside, ridgeline pouch's that will hold a full size loaded Glock 22 and a suction cup to hold your phone (which makes it nice if you want to watch video's on it). I have some small fleece blankets stuffed into each of the side pockets to help with warmth and a Klymit Static V insulated camp pad in the bottom pad sleeve for comfort and warmth. I'm a side sleeper and when I wake up after my hour "nap" each night I dread going to my real bed (gotta keep the missus happy tho). I've had to mess with the "hang" a lot trying to get the sweet spot, but in all fairness, that's my fault. Tony recommends trees that are no farther 15' apart to get the best hang, and the closest trees in my yard I can hang from are 21' apart. I've had no problem falling asleep within minutes and **** comfortable when I do.

Please report back after your all nighter ! I talked to Tony and he said the Lightfoot was cut the same, more or less as the FOB, so the "lay" would be the same. The only difference was that the Lightfoot has higher sides since it's not enclosed like the FOB.
    Thanks for your reply

Well, I slept pretty good. It got down to 34* and I stayed plenty warm in just a Tee shirt and sweat pant's and my Military Sleep System intermediate sleeping bag which I ended up leaving open. I'm 6', 220 lbs and was comfortable all night. I woke up once to go to the bathroom (a regular thing) and a couple of other times due cars with loud or non existing mufflers driving by, but comfort was never an issue. I'm really loving this hammock!

Glad to hear you stayed warm! Did you use a pad ? I know in Tony's set up video he uses one. If you did, what kind?

The pad I'm using is the insulated Klymit Static V: http://www.klymit.com/index.php/insulated-static-v.html. It's got an R value of 4.4, which isn't the best r value, but still not bad. I'm still pretty new to hangin so I'm trying out different things. I've learned a lot on this site. I really need to take some pics of my set up and post them on here.

By the way, I talked to Tony and he's going to build me a custom F.O.B. I'm pretty pumped about it!

It really sucks when your bladder becomes your alarm clock... at 2am! Happens to me all the time! If I can figure out how to run a pee hose from the hammock, I will work it into the design.

Hey Tony, really could've used one of those "pee holes" last nite lol. Did another all nighter in the FOB last nite. Stayed warm and comfy but too much traffic and noise early in the morning (I work 2nd shift). Can't wait to set up in the deep woods and wake up with mother nature instead of the County Recycle truck with the annoying beeper.
